Coupe Icare 2011: 38th festival of paragliding and air sports

The most famous paragliding and air sports event in the world, attracting 70,000 to 80,000 spectators annually, will celebrate its 38th birthday from September 22 to 25 at the sites of Saint Hilaire du Touvet – Lumbin, in the French Alps. The free flying community in full colour and every shape imaginable invites the young at heart, dreamers and fun lovers of all ages to partake in this spectacular, poetic aerial event.

−    Icare Expo (Trade Fair for free flight professionals)

−    Icare Mômes (Childrens area devoted to the wonderful world of Air)

in Lumbin (landing area) : the meeting point for hot air balloons

And to limit the impact of the event on our environment, operation Icare Eco: free shuttles between the parking lots and different areas of the event (Icarenbus), goblets on deposit at various food stands, trash sorting and pick up….
